Wow, can you believe it’s 2020 already?!? Seriously where did all of that time go? A lot has happened over the last 10 years, but have you personally accomplished all that you’d hoped too? If not, don’t sweat it, as they say, “New Decade, new you,” and this time around, you’ll be a lot more prepared. After all, every failure in life grants you a critical lesson that when harnessed properly, can set yourself and your business up for success!

Over the next few months, we’ll break down the key ways that you can take your digital brand to the next level and eventually boost your business so that YOU to live to the fullest. But as with most things in life, the first step to succeeding is all in “the plan!”

Did you know that if you actually take the time to map out and organize your concrete goals onto paper, you’re 70% more likely to follow through? It’s true, but before you can organize these goals, you’ll need to figure out precisely what they are, and a great way to do that is through a VISION BOARD!

According to Forbes.com; Vision board parties began in the early 2000s as a way for people to get set goals, cast their wildest dreams into the universe and tangibly display their desires by crafting their “ideal reality.”

So, What exactly is a vision board, and how does it work?

A vision board is a concrete representation of your desires and aspirations for a compelling life. It may sound like a load of hooey, but it can actually be one of the most valuable visualization tools available to you. Even some successful celebrities have been using this practice for decades. The human mind responds strongly to visual stimulation, so by representing your goals with pictures and images, you’ll strengthen those emotions attached to your future goals.

So it’s basically all about keeping YOU motivated. By putting those vibes and energies out into the universe, you solidify those images for your subconscious mind, while also letting the powers that be know what your intentions and wishes are. Plus, they can be a lot of fun to create and will serve as an invaluable tool to inspire daily action in pursuit of your most important life goals. One of the coolest things about vision boarding is that they are totally up for interpretation so they can be 100% customized to you. Some prefer to include a photo of themselves or people in their life, while others choose a less literal approach; using colours and images that evoke their dreams on a more interpretive level. There really is no “right way” to do this, so it’s an excellent exercise for everyone to try at least once in their life.

What you need to create your own vision board

When collecting content for your vision board, look for images that represent the experiences, feelings and possessions you want to attract into your life. Inspirational words, quotations, and colours are great options to evoke your inner thoughts. Once you’ve found the images that represent your dreams and goals, try to keep it neat and visually appealing. You’ll also need a few other items: Bristol board, Glue, Tape, Coloured pencils and markers, Scissors, Decorative paper, Magazines, Images printed from a computer, Other cute stickers and accents.

We put our money where our glue stick is…(what? Lol)

Other celebs who are very much into vision boarding include Jim Carrey, Katy Perry and the Queen B herself Beyonce! In fact, before Ms.Bey won her first academy award, she placed her vision board above her treadmill, so she could run towards her goals. And guess what was at the center of her manifestation? A big ol’ picture of an academy award!

Katy Perry did the same thing with a Grammy award when she made a vision board as a child. Every year she’d pull it out and stare at it, envisioning her dreams from this crafted piece of paper, and because of that focus one day, it became her reality.

Not the crafty type? No problem!

In 2020 there’s a good chance you can find a digital version of anything that exists.
